Chubby Face, Slim Face, or Hollow and Sagging: How to Choose Your Anti-Ageing Treatment
At Gangnam Choice Clinic, anti-ageing consultations start by identifying your face type before choosing a treatment: a chubby face with a blurred jawline leans toward ultrasound, a slim face with laxity and fine lines toward radiofrequency, and a hollow, sagging face with collagen loss toward combined ultrasound and radiofrequency plus collagen injection. Devices are only tools; hitting the right layer is what matters.
At Gangnam Choice Clinic, anti-ageing consultations begin by stopping the choice made by blindly following trends. Devices are only tools, and hitting the right layer is what matters, so we first look at your face shape and laxity before discussing specific treatments.
How do you judge what your face needs?
Based on facial fat and laxity, there are roughly three situations.
- Chubby face with a blurred jawline: leans toward ultrasound, which targets the SMAS layer, tightening the double chin and contour without thinning the apples of the cheeks.
- Slim face with laxity and fine lines: leans toward radiofrequency, which acts on the dermis, smoothing fine lines and improving elasticity while avoiding fat loss and hollowing.
- Hollow and sagging with collagen loss: consider combined ultrasound and radiofrequency with collagen injection, lifting in layers and filling the hollows.
Why can't the same settings be copied for everyone?
Because each person's skin thickness and fat distribution differ, and where the energy lands has to change accordingly. We insist on one-on-one consultations with the director, dividing the face into zones by anatomical layer to allocate the number of shots and the energy, so that each shot lands in its corresponding spot rather than applying a fixed, factory-line protocol.
